Euskaraldia is a social movement designed to change the linguistic habits of speakers who understand Basque, with the aim of influencing the entire Basque Country. The movement aims to activate the linguistic practices of the population and increase the use of the Basque language, prioritizing the Basque language in daily relationships and through a massive joint 11-day social practice.
In other words, the main objective of Euskaraldia is not only to shake the inertia of linguistic habits and to take steps to increase the use of Basque by citizens, but also to promote the adoption of opportunities and measures by entities to “live” in Basque. Euskaraldia, in a collective and social way, allows local dialects to be activated and collaborate, creating measures and spaces that make it possible to live in Basque.
Join the movement by signing up on the official Euskaraldia Website and choose to be “belarri prest” or “aho bizi”.
